Nate and Ashleigh are one of those couples that make you want to find your soul mate and never let go. You can’t help but admire the beauty of their love and chemistry. Since I met Ashleigh and shot their engagement session, I have been counting down the days until their wedding. Ashleigh is gorgeous and Nate handsome, but more than anything, they are a perfect match and a perfect match is really really fun to photograph!
Their day was perfect. It rained most of the morning. After the gorgeous ceremony at Heinz Memorial Chapel in Oakland, just as we were headed outside for photos, it stopped. There was only a faint mist and a wet ground to remind you that it was supposed to rain (pour) all day long. The rain held off throughout the group photos and Mellon Institute and around Oakland. As soon the bridal party was on the limo bus, the rain picked up. It poured until we reached the Circuit Center in the South Side… then, it stopped. I couldn’t make this stuff up. I was prepared with all of my rain gear and never used a thing, despite the promise of ALL day showers.
The reception was gorgeous. The energy in the room moved you to tears. There was so much love, not only between Nate and Ashleigh but for them. Every detail was considered and you could tell. It was an incredibly gorgeous day, beginning to end, and I am so thankful to have gotten to be there to document each and every detail.
