From the moment I met Holly, I was in awe of her natural beauty and charisma. When I met Jordan at their engagement shoot, I could not get over the chemistry they shared. It was obvious in their “parenting” of their beloved furbaby that these two had found their perfect match in one another.
As their wedding day approached, I couldn’t help but be giddy with excitement. I had no doubt that Holly would be a gorgeous bride and Jordan a handsome groom, but what I most looked forward to was capturing their chemistry again. And they did not disappoint. To top the day off, they were surrounded by a beautiful and supportive bridal party to which they clearly adored.
One of my favorite things about their wedding was the last minute decision to do a first look. The weather forecast got more and more grim as the days passed. Holly texted me the night before the wedding to confirm that I would be on board with the change of plans, which, of course, I was. And it turned out to be the best decision. Not only did we have the most beautiful dramatic clouds to set the backdrop for our photos with the occasional sun peaking through, but moments after the ceremony, when photos were originally scheduled, the rain began. And it POURED. This, of course, confirmed that Holly and Jordan’s foresight helped to guarantee they would have fabulous photos from their big day. And while it rained outside, they took cover in the beautifully decorated Chestnut Ridge surrounded by a room FULL of people that love them!
It was such a pleasure and an experience I will not soon forget, photographing the beginning of Mr. & Mrs. Garrigan’s life as husband and wife! Here is a very small sampling from their lovely day…
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Garrigan!
