Frequently Asked Questions
Are you willing to travel?
Yes. If it is a significant distance from Central PA, we can discuss a game plan for the big day. If you are planning a destination wedding, let me know as soon as you know so I can plan accordingly.
Can you photograph our rehearsal dinner?
Of course. Just let me know when we are chatting that this is a priority and I will make sure to block off my calendar for that date to ensure my availability.
How long will it take to get my photos?
It depends on the season. My maximum contracted time is 60- 90 days for peak season (fall). However, you will get a beautiful sneak peek within a week after your big day to give you a taste of the magic that is coming your way.
What is a print release?
It is a legal document that gives you permission to freely print your photos anywhere you want. While you are welcome to print your images through your gallery, you do not have to.
How many photos will I get?
A lot. I never limit the number of images I deliver. You will get somewhere between 50-100 images per hour of coverage. With that said, the more action packed the day is, the more photos you will get. For example, if you and your partner choose to do a first look, you will likely get more photos than a couple that chooses to skip it.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No. You can, but you do not have to. You will have a print release so you can order the photos through your favorite lab (though I highly recommend skipping CVS.)
What if I need to reschedule my wedding due to Covid?
I’ve got you. 2020 showed us all how important flexibility is. I genuinely respect your decision to move your event to help protect your friends and family from illness. I will do everything in my power to pivot with you.
What do you shoot with? Do you bring back up equipment?
I am a Nikon shooter. I shoot with a variety of cameras and lenses and I ALWAYS have a back up for the back up. (This includes backing up your wedding images on multiple memory cards while I shoot.)
Do you carry insurance and pay taxes?
Of course. In my opinion, this is a minimum requirement for any professional. If your venue would like a certificate of insurance, I am happy to provide a copy.
Can you recommend a make up artist? (other wedding vendor?)
Yes! I am happy to send you a list of awesome wedding vendors. I consider my familiarity with the local vendors and planning process to be an added bonus to choosing me to be your wedding photographer.
