Stephen and Samantha are Engaged!
Stephen and Sam have been so easy to connect with since I first met them. If you sat back and watched them, you would undoubtedly conclude that they are best friends. You might even think they just started dating. At their sunset engagement shoot at Circleville Park, they laugh more than anything. They are both hilarious and made their shoot SO much fun, even for me! I cannot wait for their September wedding at Harmony Forge Inn in Bellefonte, PA.
Here’s a little background on this amazing couple in Sam’s words:
How did you and your fiance first meet?
We actually met in elementary school. We were in the same 3rd/4th grade combined class. I remember having a crush on him back then.

Did you “click” right away?
We remained “friendly” throughout school, but it wasn’t until after college that we reconnected and began hanging out in the same social circle. There was always a special connection between the two of us but for the longest time the timing was never right so we didn’t “act” on the connection.

How did the proposal happen?
Stephen cooked dinner for me one Friday night. I remember thinking it was weird that he didn’t ask me to help him once the entire time, which he usually does but I don’t like cooking so I usually moan and groan about it. I got up after we had eaten to go to the bathroom and when I came back into the room I started to try to clear dishes when he told me that he put something special in Dixie’s (our dog) bone and come look. I kind of brushed him off like okay I’m sure she’s loving it but wasn’t paying attention. He told stop and said come here and when I did he got down on one knee with Dixie by his side and said his little speech to ask me to marry him. It was very “us” – intimate and low key and of course involving Dixie.

What are you most excited about your big day?
Finally being married! Being able to celebrate with our closest friends and family. We just want everyone to have a great time and to celebrate our love.
