I instantly connected with Moira and Peter when I met them.  I felt like I had known them forever and was thrilled to be chosen to document their big day!  They booked me before the pandemic and I couldn’t help but worry that their big celebration would be impacted but thankfully, it went on as planned and was more wonderful than I could have even imagined! Moira and Peter’s wedding day felt like a royal affair.
The day started early with hair and makeup at Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, PA.   Everyone was ALL smiles in the midst of their pampering & preparations  when I arrived.  After getting into her first wedding gown, Moira’s dad surprised her during their first look with new dress blues, which made the sight of him walking his beautiful daughter down the aisle that much more stunning.

Following the ceremony & family photos, Moira and Peter’s trolley took us all to the Penn State Campus which we had ALL to ourselves.  (Anyone who has been on a college campus knows what a rare treat this is!)  When we arrived back at Toftrees, we were greeted by Moira’s childhood dog for a few more family photos.

They kicked off the reception with an incredibly choreographed dance that had every guess smiling and aching to dance!  I couldn’t help but laugh when Peter’s dad referenced my getting ready directions in his toast to Moira and Peter.  I will say, that is an absolute first and I couldn’t help but chuckle.  And while it surprised me, I realized that it was perfect for Moira and Peter’s big day because they made us all feel like we were such an important part of their event.  These are two people that you cannot help but feel dear to.  They have such a gift of making each person they meet feel special and cared for and they are such a perfect match for one another.

For sunset photos, Moira had changed into a simpler but equally elegant gown.  (I am loving this “second dress” trend!!) They danced the night away with all their dearest friends and family.  And even a few wedding crashers.  😉

Moira and Peter – I have absolutely loved going through this process with you.  Getting to know you both and follow your journey has been such an amazing gift.  I am so inspired by your love, senses of humor, and wedding planning skills!! 🙂
