Exequiel & Michelle

Exequiel and Michelle have such an amazing story as to how they got to where they are now.  (See below.)  As soon as I met them at the Hintz Alumni Center on the Penn State Campus, I could immediately tell that we were going to have an amazing photo shoot.  And…. I was correct! 🙂  During the shoot, I learned that culturally, Argentinians are very affectionate.  Professionally, I learned that photographing couples where we have an Argentinian in the mix is VERY easy.  I could have just followed these two around and taken pictures of them doing what they do, and I would have an amazing set of images for them.  They are so playful and natural together and have no hesitation about showing it.  The hard part was going through ALL the photos and trying to decide if one was better than the next.

I cannot wait to photograph their Lily Manor wedding next year.  I hope they inspire everyone they encounter like they inspired me.  🙂

A bit more about their dreamy love story and how they got to this point….

How did you and your fiance first meet?

We met at a bar while I was living with friends in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Did you “click” right away?

We did! We went on our first date about a week after we met, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

How long did you date before you got engaged?

We dated for a little over a year.

Was the proposal a surprise?

Somewhat

How did the proposal happen?
We had talked a lot about getting engaged, but Exequiel still wanted to do a surprise proposal. He planned on proposing on a trip we were going to take in Patagonia, but it was still a few months away, so he ended up proposing on the day that we moved in together. He later told me about the idea he’d had to propose on our trip, and I liked it so much that we decided to take some proposal pictures while we were traveling, so we ended up with some cool pictures on top of a glacier in southern Argentina.

When / Where is your wedding day?
We got married on March 8, 2017 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are doing an exchange of vows on July 6, 2019, at Lily Manor in Mifflin, PA in order to include people who couldn’t make it to Argentina.

What are you most excited about your big day?
Getting to celebrate with our friends and family who couldn’t celebrate when we got married in Argentina last year.
