Michael and Colleen are Married!

What I love most about being a wedding photographer is getting to know the couples I work with and then following them around on one of the most exciting days of their lives.  This pandemic has been so heart wrenching because so many couples have had to completely rethink their wedding day.  Not only have they had to reschedule but in many cases, they’ve had to move to a new venue and even downsize their guest list.

Enter Michael and Colleen.  Colleen and I share a dear friend.  I knew I would adore her when I learned this.  And just as I expected, I did.   When I met Michael and Colleen they were exploding with enthusiasm when they talked about their relationship and getting married.  When we first sat down together, Colleen already had her timeline for the day and a formal family photo list, which was a first for me.  They were ready.

Fast forward a few months and throw in a pandemic and a whole lot of uncertainty…  they chose to move their wedding to July only to realize so many things had changed with their original venue that it was best to just do it!  So, on June 13 at a different church and a different reception venue, these two love birds said I do.  The day was perfect.  You never would have known it was their Plan C.  The joy and excitement was as abundant as ever.

After getting to know them and spending the day by their sides, I can say, Mike and Colleen are two of the nicest humans on this earth.  I am so glad they found one another and were FINALLY able to make it official.  It was such an honor getting to document this beautiful celebration of their inspiring love!

Congratulations Dr. and Mrs. McShane!!
